Empowering Students with Essential First Aid Knowledge

At Vcare Pharmacy, we believe that healthcare education should extend beyond the pharmacy and into the community.

On 12 August 2026, Vcare Pharmacy was honoured to be invited by Sekolah Kebangsaan Putrajaya Presint 16(2) to conduct a sharing session with members of the Unit Bulan Sabit Merah Malaysia (PBSM).

The session was held at the school hall as part of the school’s PBSM co-curricular activities, providing students with an opportunity to learn more about basic first aid and the importance of being prepared for emergencies.

Learning About the First Aid Kit

During the session, our Vcare Pharmacy team shared practical knowledge about the First Aid Kit, including the essential items commonly found inside and their functions.

Students were also introduced to the correct use of first-aid items, helping them understand how these supplies can be used appropriately when providing basic assistance during minor injuries or emergencies.

Through this interactive sharing session, we hoped to make first aid knowledge more accessible and easier for students to understand and apply.

Building Confidence Through Health Education

First aid is not only about having the right supplies — knowing what to use, how to use it, and when to seek further medical attention is equally important.

By equipping young people with basic health and first-aid knowledge, we can help them develop greater confidence and awareness when responding to unexpected situations.

For students involved in PBSM, these skills are especially meaningful as they continue learning about safety, first aid and helping others.
